After a break

Here I am again blogging after a three months break. I needed to rest for a while. In the last year I have found a new job at Kristau Eskola (Christian Schools), I have written two articles for the Dictionary of Existence, a book in spanish that will be dedicated to Italian Philosopher Gianni Vattimo. I have also written a chapter for Mythologies, a book in spanish that will be published this year along with Psychiatrist José Guimón and Philosopher Ortíz Osés.

I have also completed my Ph.D. Courses in Hermeneutics and my Expert Degree in Development of persons and Team Leadership. So this has been a very busy year for me.

In May I was wondering if I could take advantage of my blogging activities in some way. I was really sceptic about this issue. I keep having this mood but at least I now have a reason to keep blogging.

Trevor, Rocky and me have written a new book: Three amigos with one message. I will tell you about it in my next post.

Cassandra Helm and Noel Guinane have started up their awesome blog Blood & Treasure. They are great proffessionals as you can tell from the blog, their plastic photogeny and sharp irony. Join their conversations, always full of interesting comments and dialectic tension. The blog is also supporting their recently published Institutionalized, a hilarious parody of current business life. Don´t forget to download the first chapter and you will have reasons for laugh on the weekend.

A wordpress tutorial

Bren from Slacker Manager has switched from Typepad to Wordpress. As the process from one platform to the other is still difficult he has written a tutorial. I find it extremely useful for those not very involved in technical issues. A great job, Bren.

The value of a blog

More and more people are interested in knowing what the value of their blog can be. We have seen Technorati´s boxes with the question "How much is this blog worth?". I think there´s a better way of knowing if your blog is worth something or not.

I won´t use a mathematical algorithm to formulate it. It´s easier than that.

Just try to make a list of the blogs you consider are very interesting in your niche. you will see if there are many or there are few. If there are few and you consider yours is one of them, your blog is very worthy. If your blog is just another one in the net, your blog´s value will be quite short.

Try it. I started to recommend one blog every week in my blog Euskonomia. Last week I realized i was not able to recommend many more blogs because I didn´t find many I thought were different or original.

Someone will reply me this is the intrinsic value of a thing, but not its market value. I agree, yes this is intrinsic value, and my recommendation for you is that you should base your market value or value of circulation on your intrinsic value.
